Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop disposable and patient-contacting medical device components.
- Lead engineering activities related to fluid path systems, tubing assemblies, connectors, seals, and consumable components.
- Support the development of infusion and fluid delivery technologies.
- Evaluate materials used in fluid-contacting applications, ensuring performance, durability, and patient safety.
- Work closely with materials, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing teams throughout product development.
- Support design verification and validation activities.
- Participate in risk management and design review activities.
- Drive root cause investigations and product improvement initiatives.
- Generate engineering documentation, protocols, reports, and technical assessments.
Required Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong medical device product development experience.
- Experience developing disposable medical devices.
- Experience working on infusion pumps, infusion sets, tubing systems, fluid management devices, catheters, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of fluidics/fluid path design.
- Experience with silicone, rubber, elastomeric, or polymer-based materials.
- Understanding of biocompatibility requirements for patient-contacting devices.
- Experience supporting material selection and compatibility assessments.
- Knowledge of design controls and risk management processes.

- Infusion therapy or drug delivery devices.
- Catheter or vascular access products.
- Single-use consumables.
- ISO 10993 exposure.
- Material characterisation and testing.
- Fluid flow analysis and optimisation.
- Patient-contacting disposable products.
