Downstream Product Marketing Manager

Location: Fremont, CA (5 days/week onsite)

EPM Scientific is partnered with a mid-sized medical technology company focused on advancing innovation in orthopedic surgery. This organization combines the stability of an established industry leader with the agility of a growth-oriented team. This is an exciting opportunity for a product marketing professional who enjoys both strategic planning and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns to drive growth and market share within the orthopedic surgery portfolio.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Gather and translate customer insights into impactful messaging, marketing campaigns, and commercial tools.
  • Lead cross-functional product launch activities with Sales, R&D, Clinical, Operations, and Marketing teams.
  • Develop marketing content that clearly communicates product value propositions and differentiation.
  • Support sales enablement through training, customer engagement activities, and industry events.
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders and support educational programs, conferences, and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Partner across functions to manage multiple projects and drive business objectives.
  • Contribute to business planning, product positioning, and portfolio growth strategies.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of medical device product marketing experience.
  • Experience within the orthopedic med device market.
  • Experience marketing to clinicians, hospitals, and ASCs.
  • Strong understanding of the hospital environment.
  • Proven ability to translate customer insights into marketing strategy.
  • Experience developing content in a regulated healthcare industry.
  • Strong product positioning, segmentation, and go-to-market skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM, digital marketing, and sales enablement tools.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%, including occasional overnight travel.
