Summary
We are partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer seeking a Director of New Product Development to lead its product development engineering function. This individual will drive innovative medical devices from concept through commercialization while building and developing a high-performing engineering team. The role offers significant influence over product strategy, technical direction, and the future NPD pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop an engineering team responsible for new product development and commercialization.
- Oversee the full development lifecycle from concept through design, verification, validation, and launch.
- Drive product development roadmaps, project priorities, and resource allocation.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- 10+ years of medical device product development experience, including 5+ years in leadership.
- Proven experience successfully bringing FDA-regulated medical devices to market.
- Strong knowledge of design controls, FDA requirements, ISO 13485, and stage-gate development processes.
