Vice President, Commercial Program Management

A clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development and commercialization of therapies for serious autoimmune and rare diseases is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Program Management to lead enterprise-wide commercial planning, launch readiness, and cross-functional execution. The role will serve as a central coordinator across commercial, medical, market access, patient services, regulatory, and executive leadership teams to ensure strategic initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives. The role will focus on driving commercial operating cadence, launch governance, and organizational readiness as this company evolves from development-stage to commercial-stage operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial program management activities across product launch, lifecycle planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain integrated project plans, execution timelines, risk assessments, and governance processes.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to establish priorities, milestones, decision points, and resource requirements.
  • Drive launch readiness planning across marketing, sales, market access, patient support, analytics, training, and operations functions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional leadership meetings and ensure accountability for deliverables and timelines.
  • Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and communications for senior leadership.
  • Identify execution risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate external partners, agencies, consultants, and vendors supporting commercial initiatives.
  • Establish best practices, processes, and tools to enhance organizational effectiveness and operational discipline.
  • Support long-range planning and portfolio prioritization activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience.
  • Significant experience in commercial operations, program management, launch planning, consulting, or strategic operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives in pre-commercial or commercial-stage organizations.
  • Strong understanding of product launch execution, market access considerations, patient services, and commercial analytics.
  • Experience working closely with executive leadership teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

This position requires a highly organized leader capable of translating strategic objectives into executable plans while ensuring alignment across multiple functions and stakeholders.
