Overview:
A global leader in advanced adhesive solutions is seeking a Senior Technical Business Development Manager to lead innovation in reversible bonding technologies. This role focuses on developing and commercializing dynamic polymer systems and shape/phase-changing materials that enable controlled adhesion and debonding-supporting circular design, repairability, and recyclability across industries such as automotive, electronics, and consumer goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the exploration and validation of early-stage technologies with reversible bonding capabilities
- Conduct market analysis and build proof-of-concept business cases
- Develop MVPs in collaboration with R&D and external partners
- Define commercialization strategies and manage strategic partnerships
- Scale validated technologies into core business or spin-off ventures
- Maintain a robust innovation pipeline and mentor team members
Candidate Profile:
- PhD in Polymer Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
- Experience in open innovation, technology scouting, and strategic partnerships
- Proven track record in developing early-stage technologies and business models
- Strong understanding of polymer physics and reversible bonding mechanisms
- Fluent in English; excellent communication and project management skills
- Willingness to travel across Europe
