Medical Science Liaison (MSL) | Field-Based | Psychiatry / CNS

A growing specialty pharmaceutical company is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support its expanding Medical Affairs organization and portfolio of treatments in psychiatry and central nervous system (CNS) disorders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientific relationships with psychiatrists, academic investigators, healthcare providers, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the assigned region.
• Serve as the field-based medical expert for the company's CNS and psychiatric products.
• Deliver fair-balanced scientific and clinical information to external stakeholders in a compliant manner.
• Gather and communicate medical insights, treatment trends, and unmet needs from the field to internal teams.
• Support congresses, advisory boards, medical education programs, and other scientific initiatives.
• Assist with clinical research activities, including support of investigator-sponsored research where appropriate.
• Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, and Commercial teams while maintaining compliance standards.
• Represent the company at regional and national scientific meetings.
• Qualifications
• Advanced clinical or scientific degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, DNP, NP, PA, or equivalent).
• Prior MSL experience strongly preferred; strong clinicians or scientists with CNS expertise might also be considered.
• Experience in psychiatry, neuroscience, ADHD, depression, or related CNS therapeutic areas is highly desirable.
• Strong scientific communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to interpret and discuss clinical data with healthcare professionals and thought leaders.
• Demonstrated relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory (West Coast)
