Freelance Clinical Research Associate
EPM Scientific are currently partnered with a small Contract Research Organisation supporting international clinical research programs across Oncology and Cardiology. They are seeking a Freelance Clinical Research Associate to support ongoing clinical studies in Latvia. This position will play a key role in ensuring clinical trial activities are conducted in accordance with study protocols, ICH-GCP guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements. Role Overview:
- Start date: November 2026

- Contract Type: Freelance / Consultant - 0.3 FTE Contract
- Language: Latvian and English
- Project: Oncology and Cardiology Clinical Studies
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site monitoring activities including site initiation, routine monitoring, and close-out visits.
- Ensure investigator sites remain compliant with study protocols, ICH-GCP guidelines, and local regulations.
- Perform source data verification (SDV) and review clinical trial documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with investigators and site staff.
- Track and resolve site issues, protocol deviations, and data queries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Project Management, and sponsor teams to support study delivery and timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related scientific discipline.
- Previous experience as a Clinical Research Associate monitoring clinical trials.
- Experience within Oncology and/or Cardiology studies is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of clinical trial processes, ICH-GCP, and regulatory requirements.
- Fluency in Latvian and English.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently in a freelance capacity.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
