Engineer - Electronic Assembly
Currently seeking an experienced electronics/electrical assembly specialist to support the development of future electromechanical medical device capabilities. The role will support a feasibility study focused on establishing an electromechanical co-development capability for next-generation surgical devices, including console and handpiece technologies used in ENT procedures such as tonsillectomy and turbinate reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support evaluation of technical, operational, regulatory, and commercial feasibility for future electromechanical device development in Ireland
- Assess equipment, facility, process, and resource requirements
- Identify manufacturability and Design-for-Manufacture (DfM) opportunities
- Evaluate potential process and development risks
- Support strategic planning for future console and handpiece programmes
- Work independently within a cross-functional transformation team
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong experience (8+) in electronics/electromechanical assembly or development environments
- Working knowledge of electrical design process, electrical components, and manufacturing methods
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and test electrical designs
- Proven ability to work independently and drive technical initiatives

This is a 12 month, full time contract, on-site in East Cork, starting ASAP.
