Contract Opportunity | Pharmaceutical Manufacturing | Visual Inspection

We are supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturer seeking an experienced AVI Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Koerber visual inspection systems for vials.

This is a specialist assignment focused on the development, optimisation, and qualification of inspection recipes on an existing Koerber platform. The successful consultant will play a key role in ensuring robust automated inspection performance while supporting the site's visual inspection programme.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise 6-9 inspection recipes for vial products on Koerber inspection equipment.
  • Configure and fine-tune recipe parameters to ensure inspection effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot inspection performance issues and implement improvements.
  • Support testing, validation, and qualification activities as required.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations on automated visual inspection processes.
  • Document recipe development activities and support knowledge transfer to site personnel.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience with Koerber automated visual inspection machines.
  • Strong background developing and implementing inspection recipes for vial products.
  • Experience within GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of automated visual inspection (AVI) processes and defect detection methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and provide practical engineering solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
