About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Regulatory & Compliance Procurement Lead to join a leading medical device company on an 18-month freelance contract. This role is essential for ensuring that all procurement activities comply with EU regulations, internal governance, and medical device industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure procurement processes comply with MDR (Medical Device Regulation), ISO 13485, GMP/GDP, and EU regulatory requirements.
• Conduct supplier audits and due diligence to verify compliance with medical device standards.
• Manage risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for regulatory compliance in supplier contracts.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory filings.
• Develop and enforce procurement policies aligned with compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with Legal, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs teams to support compliance objectives.
• Provide training and guidance to procurement teams and suppliers on compliance best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement within a regulated industry, with at least 2 years as an experienced freelancer.
• Previous experience working in a medical device company is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and compliance frameworks.
• Proven track record in supplier audits and risk management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
