Process Engineer (Fill-Finish)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Milan. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise across fill finish operations, supporting sterile solid and liquid production processes. This is a long-term contract opportunity requiring a strong on-site presence and fluency in Italian.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day process engineering activities within sterile manufacturing operations
  • Provide technical oversight for fill finish processes and equipment
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance
  • Investigate manufacturing deviations and support root cause analysis activities
  • Collaborate with production, quality, validation, and engineering teams
  • Assist with process validation, qualification, and technology transfer projects
  • Ensure all activities meet GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across sterile liquid and solid manufacturing areas

Requirements

  • Proven Process Engineering experience within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong background in fill finish manufacturing
  • Experience working with sterile solids and/or sterile liquids
  • Understanding of GMP-regulated production environments
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
  • Italian language fluency required
  • Available to work primarily on-site in Milan
  • Engineering or scientific degree preferred

Ideal Candidate Profile

An experienced pharmaceutical Process Engineer with a proven background in fill finish operations and sterile manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have expertise across sterile liquid and solid dosage forms, strong GMP knowledge, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders on-site. Italian language skills are essential, and candidates with experience in aseptic manufacturing environments will be highly valued.
