Role Overview
A biopharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Clinical Trial Manager to support the delivery of clinical studies across Europe.
The consultant will manage clinical trial activities from study start-up through execution and close-out, ensuring milestones are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with ICH-GCP, applicable regulations, and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage European clinical trial activities from start-up through close-out
- Track study timelines, milestones, budgets, performance metrics, and quality indicators
- Provide CRO, vendor, and investigational site oversight
- Identify study risks and implement solutions with internal and external stakeholders
- Support the development and review of protocols, informed consent forms, CRFs, study plans, and clinical study reports
- Oversee clinical data review and support the resolution of study issues and queries
- Manage TMF set-up, ongoing quality reviews, and final reconciliation
- Maintain GCP compliance and audit readiness throughout the study
- Oversee site feasibility, selection, recruitment, and retention activities
- Lead study team, investigator, and trial-specific meetings
- Onboard and oversee contract CRAs, while supporting junior clinical team members
- Collaborate closely with European and international study teams
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial operations and ICH-GCP requirements
- Experience overseeing CROs and clinical vendors, including operational activities and budgets
- Previous experience managing or supporting clinical research professionals
- Ability to manage complex or multiple studies independently
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
