Scientist, Analytical Development (On-Site)

Our biotech client is looking for someone to join their fast-growing team. This position requires a highly qualified and dedicated applicant who will work on the analytical team.
The Scientist Analytical Development will be responsible for:
- Apply cutting-edge scientific concepts, theories, techniques, and standards to the development of analytical models and product characterization
- Accountable for the upkeep and operation of analytical instruments including LC-MS, HPLC, Maurice (cIEF, CE-SDS), and MFI, among others, as well as sample preparation and analysis
- In charge of carrying out standard analytical testing, formulation development and stability testing, fraction collections, force degradation studies, and extended characterization of antibodies.
- Write, edit, review manufacturing documents, and follow guidelines and protocols for process characterization activities
- Engage in the active development of an internal analytical team with the goal of becoming a center of excellence for the characterization of monoclonal antibodies, including the detection of post-translational modifications and the establishment of degradation pathways to support developability screening and formulation of early phase molecules and comparability of late stage molecules for drug candidate nomination, IND submission, and BLA filing
The ideal candidate will have:
- D. in a relevant field (chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field), MS with at least three years of relevant work experience, or BS with at least five years of relevant work experience.
- Significant understanding of and practical expertise with HPLC, LC-MS, and other related analytical methods for the analysis of proteins and peptides
- Understanding of protein moderations and degradation
- Proficiency in technical writing demonstrated
- Knowledge of GLP and the GMP working environment
