My client is a global medical devices company specialising in the space of minimally invasive surical products across cardiovascular, orthopedic and urology etc. devices. They are looking for a Sales Director to to join their team in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. As a Sales Director, you will develop and implement the sales and market strategies in Malaysia and defines the organizational structure for the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build an effective sales organization
- Hiring and development of the team Build and promote the brand in Malaysia, through field implementation, clinical events and promotion activities.
- Develop and implement product positioning strategies
- Develop and implement price strategies
- Sales forecasting
- Setting sales targets per region and for Malaysia
- Defining commission plans and Management By Objectives (MBO)
- Develop sales validation plans for new products
- Define the focus and agenda of sales meetings
- Direct and manage the sales team & dealers in achieving the sales targets.
- Regular one-on-one catch-ups with the sales team to help with current issues and to ensure proper coaching, training and leadership.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Permanent area analysis, project planning and project monitoring per sales reg
Qualifications:
- University Degree preferred or work equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar, management position and proven track record is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience with surgical device sales, with a sales background in the operating theater is preferred.
- Experience in dealing with dealers is a plus.
- Dynamic team environment with daily interpersonal interactions with both internal team members and external individuals.
