Director Strategic Pricing

Position Summary
Provides analytical insight that supports and executes the pricing and contracting strategy for a key specialty products. Applies analytical methods and tools necessary to translate data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations in order to support development and implementation of a world-class pricing strategy. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to leverage and implement knowledge of reimbursement, managed care and healthcare policy to develop execution strategies and processes to ensure attainment of market access business objectives
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides new product launch teams with in-depth performance metrics and insights on top Managed Markets accounts
- Assists with inline and/or pipeline market research
- Responsible for both planned and ad hoc analytical tasks relating to pricing strategy development
- Coordinates all activities related to RFP/Bid preparation, review, approval and submission
- Collaborates with finance to facilitate issue resolution and support of accrual information needs
- Work with Brand teams / franchises for the development and research related to new product at launch list price recommendations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience within pharmaceutical pricing
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into business impacts and actionable next steps
- Strong knowledge of payor, specialty pharmacy, retail, hospital, physician, GPOs and the contracting process within those organizations
Position Requirements
Education Required: Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Business, Accounting, Finance - Required
Education Preferred: MBA in Business, Marketing or Pharmacy
