(senior) Regional Medical Director
A global pharma is currently seeking an experienced regional Medical Director (Medical Affairs) to support with several of their key drug pipelines.
The position will be responsible for the Asian drug market - working to establish influence in primary and emerging markets across multiple indications.
This is a unique opportunity as previous Asian market coverage is not essential, rather previous regional Medical Affairs in general is welcome. The company is looking to add experienced, international talent to complement the local Asian talent and share ideas and best practice.

As a Senior Medical Director you will be responsible for;
- Significant work with all Drug pipelines with a focus in drug launch, patient safety, medical education and information etc.
- With the team select and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key players.
- Establish integrated partnership(s) with R&D functional leads on assigned team (regulatory affairs, pharmacovgilance, global development operations).
- Contribute, plan and execute medical affairs strategy for the Asian region working alongside other matrix and local groups.
- Forms integrated partnership with strategic partner vendor(s) and provide oversight of all strategic partner vendor medical and clinical deliverables for assigned products. Ensure highest quality of medical/clinical science input and clinical components of deliverables from the strategic partner vendor.
As a clinical development project lead you will need;
- M.D or equivalent.
- Previous work within Medical Affairs at a regional level (Ideally Asian but can be any cluster, multi country, regional or global)
- Demontrated work across multiple indications and product pipelines.
- English fluent, Japanese not needed
- Proven track record of most of the above job responsibilities or transferrable experiences.
