Insights Generation and Payer Intelligence Associate Director
Company Summary: The successful individual will demonstrate leadership across the organization by profiling the payer landscape, generating useful insights, and providing input to strategy development to support achieving market access goals. This role will work collaboratively across the US Market Access team and other relevant, internal departments to guarantee market access strategic alignment with business partner projects, get input on payer work-streams, and contribute towards achieving corporate objectives. They will act as a strategic partner to the Market Access HQ and field teams, by delivering value through insight generation, building capabilities and tools, and effective project management.
The Insights Generation and Payer Intelligence AD will be responsible for:
- Work diligently with the Director, Access Strategy and Field Operations and cross-functional staff including U.S. Market Access, Public Affairs (Federal, State, and Patient Advocacy), Patient Services, Medical, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Real World Evidence (RWE) personnel.
-Deliver market access insights across all assigned disease areas by leveraging knowledge of the managed markets landscape (Payer, IDN, SP & Trade), public policy and healthcare reform, claims data, and managed care data
-Detect market access trends to develop perspectives on payer utilization management strategies, specific therapeutic category access policies, payer channel mix, funding risk, and payer revenue pressures
-Proactively distinguish risks, competitive threats, issues, and opportunities using internal and external data sources relevant for a market access and reimbursement organization
-Leverage internal and external data to enhance understanding of the market access landscape for reporting, dashboards, and consolidated insights to inform field and HQ stakeholders
The Insights Generation and Payer Intelligence AD should have the following qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience
-8 years working in or with pharmaceutical industry with 3-5 years within managed markets data analytics
-Experience working for a pharmaceutical consulting firm, PBM, MCO, or another payer experience is a plus
-Broad and in-depth knowledge of the U.S. payer coverage and reimbursement environment to include commercial and government payers
- Knowledge in managed markets analysis, contracting (managed care, IDNs, government, GPO, etc.) and net sales analysis
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office including PPT, Excel and Word; and Salesforce or other CRM applications
