Global Head of Market Access
The Opportunity
The Global Head of Market Access role is critical to the mission of delivering products that have the potential to change the lives of people with rare, debilitating conditions. It is responsible for establishing the global pricing, reimbursement and access strategy for commercial and pipeline products. Should you be successful in this role you will know that your work has made a significant change for people suffering from rare disease, who otherwise would've had no alternative treatment pathways.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership and Global
- Provide reimbursement and market access perspective as a member of the commercial leadership team
- Lead the creation of a global value dossier for products nearing commercialization
- Partner with clinical, medical, HEOR and market access colleagues to create our value story for private and government payers globally
- Track access trends within our therapeutic areas, providing updates to leadership and adjusting market access strategy as necessary
U.S. Market Access
- Identify, recruit and retain key market access talent, both for policy/in-house and field operations
- Partner with government affairs and internal partners to establish payer engagement priorities for government and private payers
- Recommend and support list pricing during product launch
- Establish and lead pricing, price reporting and contract committees
Ex-US Market Access
- Create a global market access plan
- Partner with commercial planning to determine launch sequence
- Prepare in-country dossiers as required
- Track global market access and reimbursement environment and provide updates to the executive team and board of directors as needed
Other
- Partner with government affairs and patient advocacy efforts to advance legislative efforts
- Provide pricing and reimbursement guidance and input on pipeline programs and business development opportunities
Who we are looking for
- 10+ years working within Market Access
- Has designed, implemented, and executed Global Market Access Strategy plans (US included)
- 3+ years working in the Rare/Orphan Disease space
- Global Experience in a Market Access Function
- Ability to effectively work in a cross-functional environment and liaise with multiple teams
- Excellent analytical and creative problem solving, strategic analysis and planning capabilities, involving complex situations
- Experience achieving favourable terms with private and government payers in the U.S. and internationally
- MBA Educated
- Ability to recruit and lead a team
