Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering with a proven track record in spearheading greenfield site projects within the pharmaceutical sector. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our operations in Singapore. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the successful establishment and growth of our engineering department.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Provide visionary leadership to the engineering team, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the company's overall mission.
Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy for the greenfield site, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Greenfield Site Establishment:
Lead the setup and commissioning of the greenfield site, overseeing facility design, construction, and installation of equipment and infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering operations within the startup ecosystem.
Team Development and Management:
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
Project Management:
Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Implement best practices in project management methodologies, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices in engineering operations.
Work closely with regulatory affairs teams to secure necessary approvals and certifications.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations and product development.
Resource Allocation and Budgeting:
Effectively manage resources and budgets to optimize operational efficiency and maximize ROI.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a focus on Pharmaceutical or related fields. Master's degree or equivalent is a plus.
Proven experience (X+ years) in a leadership role overseeing engineering operations within the pharmaceutical industry, with specific expertise in greenfield site establishment.
In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects from concept to execution.
Demonstrated experience in team building, talent development, and performance management.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
