KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES:
* Provide oversight and direction to the Maintenance/Facilities/Engineering/Validation/EHS team in execution of major CAPEX projects and/or facility expansion.
* Oversee multidisciplinary efforts and change control to design, specify, install, and validate equipment/system modifications, improve facilities' operations to optimize productivity and provide engineering technical support for all utilities and process equipment.
* Provide supervision and direction to plant engineering staff with focus on execution and prioritization of daily activities, monitoring performance against goals, career development, and staff recruitment to support site engineering activities.
* Ensure the engineering management, utility operation, calibration and maintenance of facilities comply with appropriate regulatory requirements.
* Establish a department culture of collaboration and learning.
* Responsible for working with government in engineering related matters.
* Responsible for working with key suppliers/vendors of the site, such as process equipment, external engineering company, utility supplier, Chempark etc. to ensure robust supply of service and resource for the site.
* Responsible EHS compliance of engineering department.
* Responsible for financial budget for department; monitor adherence to budget and authorize expenditures.
* Openly communicate with senior management and internal customers at all levels in order to develop and implement plans.
* Other ad hoc project as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of engineering experience under GMP environment; >3 years of engineering management in a pharmaceutical company
* Strong people management experience in leading, developing, and training a multi-culture team.
* Practical knowledge and application of GMP and EHS regulations and experience with regulatory investigations.
* Practical knowledge of Maximo system, Building Management Systems, P&ID's, and SOP's.
* Strong background in Bio-Pharmaceutical maintenance best practices and equipment reliability.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German.
