Director of R&D for the Analytical Department
Location: Boston
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 + Superb Benefits
A fast-growing bio-tech company is seeking a Director of R&D to oversee all operations and management within the Analytical Development Department in Charles City, Iowa. This company is constantly expanding at a significant rate and consistently innovating new medicines to patients across the world. The Director will spearhead all development initiatives with set project milestones and successful leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Directly represents the department in business meetings, working with cross-functional teams to improve on set business goals
* Overseeing the day to day operations for select areas
* Have a fully trained team of staff members
* Support member client meetings to ensure the completion of requested and set goals
* As needed, recruit and train staff for an efficient progress of department operations
* Have all cGxP data for projects be looked over for the success in department operations along the regulatory requirements and procedures
* Actively contributes to the preparation and coordination of internal audits and regulatory inspections.
Key Qualifications
* A life science degree with at least 8+ years of relevant operations experience (depending on degree) preferred
* Minimum of 3+ years of management/supervising experience of staff preferred
* Strong understanding of cGMP guidelines and company SOPs
* Strong experience with client audits
* Strong understanding of FDA, EU, and ICH guidelines for the implementation for GLP and GMP
* Strong knowledge of FDA, EU and ICH requirements and implementation for GLP and GMP in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Experience with regulatory agency inspections of GXP facilities.
