Title: Associate Director - Commercial Data Specialist
Overview:
A global biotech company is looking for an Associate Director - Commercial Data Specialist in the Boston area. This role is poised to make an immediate and lasting difference for the company by helping to build a new data team to support and manage the data strategy for the Addiction Franchise and Market Access teams. The ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates the ability to be detail oriented, a problem solver, and provide an analytic analysis on customer data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute both short- and long-term data strategy for the Addiction Franchise and Market Access teams
- Provide data management support for commercial operation and analytics teams
- Work closely with the Market Access business and analytics teams to manage data from Hub, SP, SD as well as provision data for Market Access research and analytic projects like IDN, Payer, and Formulary analysis
- Partner with data owners and IT to develop and implement a data quality management (DQM) framework and process for data QA/QC, and uphold a high standard in commercial data quality
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Management, Operations Research, Engineering or related fields
- 8+ years' experience in managing data-related activities within commercial operation (pharmaceutical industry preferred)
- Familiar with common industry data asses and vendors, such as IQVIA, Symphony, DRG, and MedPro
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical industry commercial business processes including Sales operations, Marketing, Patient Services, and Market Access
- Strong technical influence in data modeling, SQL coding, and Excel
- Experience in data quality, modeling, visualization, and science tools such IDQ, Erwin Data Modeler, Tableau, and Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree Preferred
- Working knowledge of MDM, CRM, Data Warehouse, AWS, Snowflake
- Experience with data governance programs
- Experience supporting Market Access teams and commercial operations and analytic in CNS/Addiction
- Excel in both verbal and written communications, including presenting synthesized information for all levels of management including senior leadership
- Able to work both independently and cross-functionally, managing multiple projects across a diverse set of teams and deadlines
