Our client, a leader in Diagnostics, is hiring a Molecular Account Executive to drive growth across Northern California and Reno, NV, with a preferred base in San Francisco, South Bay, or East Bay. This field-based role, part of the Molecular Diagnostics Division, involves full-stack sales of molecular products to hospitals, IDNs, reference labs, and women's health offices. The ideal candidate is a strategic and dynamic sales professional who excels at closing new business, expanding existing accounts, and developing innovative strategies in areas like Molecular Diagnostics, Oncology, and Infectious Diseases, while spending four days a week actively engaged in the territory.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in New Business Hunting: Proven ability to identify, approach, and cultivate new client opportunities within the diagnostics sector.
- Specialized Sales Expertise: A strong background in selling Molecular Diagnostics, Capital Equipment, and critical diagnostic solutions for Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Transplant Tests, Women's Health, and STI tests.
- Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the dynamics of the Life Sciences and Diagnostics industries, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor within the field.
- Field Sales Excellence: Demonstrated ability to maintain an active presence in the Bay Area territory, building relationships and achieving sales growth through in-person engagement.
Job Description:
- Partner with C-suite and stakeholders to accelerate decisions and deliver quick wins.
- Grow market share by identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Apply customer insights to implement best practices and exceed targets.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to leverage resources.
- Build long-term customer relationships through tailored, win-win solutions.
- Navigate complex capital sales cycles with strategic foresight.
- Work with Enterprise Account Manager to secure hospital system business.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years of experience in capital sales or multi-stakeholder environments
- Skilled in selling customized solutions to senior lab leaders and C-suite executives
- Proven success in strategic sales and territory turnaround
- Detail-oriented with solid business planning skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM
- Valid driver's license
- Willing to travel 50-75% within the territory
