Process Engineer

Job Purpose:
To lead and support process development trials across lamination, coil binding, and associated finishing operations. The Process Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and optimising equipment, tooling, and process parameters to ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable production methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Trial Management:
- Plan, execute, and document process trials for lamination, coil binding, and related finishing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality to define trial objectives and success criteria.
Process Optimisation:
- Analyse trial data to identify optimal process parameters.
- Recommend improvements to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
Tooling & Equipment:
- Specify, evaluate, and implement tooling and equipment modifications.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure tooling meets performance and safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Create detailed process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and technical reports.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone).
- Participate in Kaizen events and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
