Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our client in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain and logistics, warehouse management and team management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfills job responsibilities as a Technical Representative of the Clinical Trials Supply Chain Service in its country, according to legal requirements. Maintain and assure compliance with current ICH, GXP, FDA Good Clinical Practices, ISO guidelines or any other as required in the position training program.
- Monitors the overall performance of staff members to ensure compliance with guidelines above.
- Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances and record keeping.
- Ensures regulatory compliance standards are adhered to and that regulatory information is transferred appropriately to local staff and the corporate compliance team.
- Manages the restrictions (scope, cost, time, human resources, etc) in order to guarantee the depot complies with the expected performance indicators. Be aware of the metrics related to depot operations and assure the business continuity taking part in the planning process and business development activities.
- Is responsible for the local business development by providing support in periodically analyzing metrics (operational, occupancy, financial, etc.) and actively support business development in client engagement (BRM,QBR, Introduction Meetings).
- Maintains a high level of professionalism when communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Is responsible for new project implementation for depot (new client integration, project implementation, migration).
- With the assistance of the Country Manager, manages all associate relations functions for the staff such as hiring, terminating and performance management. Evaluate Personnel daily performance in order to analyze a career development for them.
- Reviews daily reporting and scheduling of hours worked for the staff.
- Provides consulting on pharmaceutical matters to various levels of personnel regarding pharmacy operations.
- Identifies and escalates to the Country Manager and the Human Resources any possible issue related to the depot staff that may impact the operational performance and/or working environment, such as change in local regulation, union representations, etc.
- Makes recommendations to Regional Operations Manager regarding changes to operating procedures in an effort to facilitate smooth the customer services operations.
- Actively works in World Courier Guidelines review and update.
- Effectively leads department meetings and manage in-service training for staff.
- Assures that all Customers' concerns are duly assessed and follows-up the implementation of any preventive/corrective action. Responds to customer inquiries, requests and issues when situations demand escalation to a higher level of authority.
- Has deep knowledge about WC Depot infrastructure and equipment in order to facilitate the interaction with the local and global engineering and Technical QA team.
- Assists the Quality Assurance team in the internal audits performed by WC Quality Assurance Department providing all the requested information during the process and assuring the completion of all action plans.
- With the assistance of QA Supervisor, is responsible for attending Customer`s audits at the Depot.
- Collaborates with other Company departments in order to make reports in a timely manner.
- Required to be available on call 24/7 to provide telephone assistance in case of an emergency or urgent request.
- Performs related duties as assigned by Country Manager or Regional Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified (Degree in Pharmacy or related Biological Science preferred) from an accredited College (and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Full command of the English language required.
- Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations
- Ability to demonstrate people management experience in a supervisory role directly related to the role, including a minimum of one (1) year in a management role and preferably in the Clinical Trial business.
- Demonstrates leadership, problem solving skills and has a clear ethos for Continuous improvement.
