Chief Client Officer

Role Summary

The Chief Client Officer will lead the organization's client strategy and oversee the delivery of a unified, high‑caliber customer experience across all major accounts. This senior executive partners closely with the CEO and members of the leadership team to deepen client relationships, elevate satisfaction, and drive sustainable revenue growth through long‑term strategic partnerships.

Core Responsibilities

Client Strategy & Leadership

  • Shape and execute the organization's vision for client engagement, retention, and long‑term partnership development.
  • Act as the senior executive liaison for priority accounts.
  • Ensure client insights and feedback meaningfully inform organizational planning and service models.

Client Experience Oversight

  • Design and optimize workflows that strengthen the full client journey.
  • Track experience and satisfaction metrics, including NPS, renewal trends, and qualitative feedback.
  • Identify and drive enhancements that improve service quality and perceived value.

Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with high‑value and strategic accounts.
  • Lead executive‑level business reviews and partnership discussions.
  • Address and resolve complex client challenges with urgency and accountability.

Cross‑Department Collaboration

  • Partner with the CEO, account teams, and department leaders to align client expectations with organizational capabilities.
  • Ensure smooth coordination and communication across functions supporting key accounts.

Revenue & Growth Enablement

  • Uncover opportunities for expanded services, upsell initiatives, and cross‑portfolio offerings.
  • Support account leaders in strengthening and broadening client partnerships.
  • Own annual revenue targets and work with teams to meet or exceed growth objectives.

Team Leadership

  • Guide and mentor client‑facing teams, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Set clear success metrics and implement talent development programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in client leadership, customer success, or account management.
  • Demonstrated success managing strategic, enterprise‑level client partnerships.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
  • Deep experience within pharmaceutical or life‑sciences marketing agencies.
  • Background supporting clients across varied therapeutic areas in a fast‑moving agency environment (pharma, biotech, diagnostics).
