Associate Scientific Director

EPM is working with a leading medical communications agency that that's looking to add an Associate Scientific Director to join their dynamic team!

Our client partners with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies to inform and educate HCPs about the latest developments in clinical research and therapeutic approaches.

In this role, you'll take ownership of and produce high-quality assets across promotional, medical education, and medical affairs accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scientifically accurate, high-quality content for a range of materials (advisory board materials, presentations, slide decks, digital platforms, etc).
  • Manage the delivery of materials aligned with client objectives, budgets, and timelines.
  • Participate in client activity and engagement including recording and implementing briefs from the client or client services team.
  • Serve as a senior scientific lead for clients and thought leaders on assigned projects.
  • Review and provide feedback on work from junior writers to maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of relevant therapy areas, product data, and competitor landscape.
  • Act as the primary scientific contact for clients and KOLs.
  • Contribute to account growth and new business pitches.
  • Collaborate with freelancers and internal teams (editorial, creative, and accounts) to manage and deliver high-quality materials.

Key Qualifications:

  • PhD in life sciences
  • 1-3 years of experience at a healthcare/medical communications agency
  • Promotional, medical education, and medical affairs experience preferred
  • Experience in oncology and obesity is preferred
  • Ability to work hybrid
