Our client is a pioneering life sciences organization dedicated to advancing innovative healthcare solutions through cutting-edge research and development. They are seeking an accomplished Scientific Director to provide strategic scientific leadership, guide a diverse development portfolio, and foster technical excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic scientific direction and technical oversight across a portfolio of research and product development programs.
Evaluate program strategies, study designs, and technical risks to support informed development and investment decisions.
Lead, mentor, and develop scientific and program leadership teams, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
Drive selected high-impact programs, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration and execution against key milestones.
Engage with external experts, advisors, and research partners to strengthen scientific decision-making and innovation.
Collaborate with development, manufacturing, analytical, and regulatory functions to align technical and operational objectives.
Represent the organization at scientific meetings, industry events, and external stakeholder engagements.
Contribute to portfolio planning, capability building, and the identification of future scientific opportunities.

Requirements

PhD, MD, or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Immunology, or a related discipline.
Significant experience in biologics, vaccines, pharmaceutical, or advanced therapeutic product development.
Proven track record in senior scientific leadership and managing multidisciplinary development programs.
Strong expertise in development strategy, technical risk assessment, and evidence-based decision-making.
Experience collaborating with external scientific experts, advisory boards, or research networks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership teams.
Familiarity with regulated development environments, manufacturing processes, or technology transfer activities is advantageous.
