Account Executive
Location: Long Island, NY

EPM Scientific has partnered with a leading medical device manufacturer focused on surgical essentials and infection prevention solutions, seeking an Account Executive to support the Acute Care Sales segment. This role is responsible for driving new business, expanding product utilization within existing accounts, and supporting corporate contracting initiatives across hospitals and surgery centers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth and expand product utilization within existing accounts
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new hospital and surgery center opportunities
  • Lead product expansion efforts within underpenetrated accounts and coordinate cross-functional account strategy
  • Negotiate, close, and support implementation of corporate agreements and contracts
  • Execute IDN and health system growth strategies at the facility level
  • Conduct business reviews and deliver value-based sales presentations to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with strategic accounts, sales leadership, and implementation teams to drive account growth
  • Manage sales opportunities, pipeline activity, and forecasts within Salesforce
  • Develop cost analyses and product cross-references for customer opportunities
  • Build relationships with sourcing, materials management, nursing, physician, and administration stakeholders
  • Lead product training, in-services, and clinical education initiatives
  • Support successful product adoption and utilization across the portfolio
  • Represent the company at local, regional, and national industry events
  • Partner with marketing to leverage industry insights and customer-focused selling strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of medical device sales experience.
  • 2+ years of Operating Room sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, operating room workflows, and medical terminology.
  • Experience selling medical devices within hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clinical and administrative stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and account management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel as needed.
  • Ability to become fully credentialed to access hospitals and surgery centers.
