Hospital Account Manager - Omaha
Overview
Seeking a driven hospital sales professional with strong clinical acumen and experience working within complex health systems. This individual will be responsible for growing territory performance, building relationships with key stakeholders, navigating hospital access pathways, and driving product utilization across targeted accounts within a multi-state region.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute territory business plans and achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives.
- Promote hospital-based pharmaceutical products to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct clinical discussions, educational programs, and product presentations with key decision-makers.
- Navigate formulary review processes and support product access within healthcare institutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, health systems, specialty pharmacies, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and cultivate influential customers who can serve as product advocates.
- Coordinate and lead customer meetings, educational events, speaker programs, and conference activities.
- Partner with internal teams to address customer needs and support account growth.
- Analyze territory performance, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to maximize business results.
- Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and territory planning activities.
- Manage territory expenses and resources appropriately.
- Remain current on product knowledge, industry trends, clinical data, and market dynamics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare sales experience.
- Hospital sales experience required
- Cardio, Cath Lab, or Neuro experience required
- Strong track record of sales performance and territory management.
Preferred Experience
- Hospital, specialty pharmaceutical, institutional, critical care, acute care, IDN, or health-system sales experience.
- Experience working with formulary committees, pharmacy stakeholders, and hospital credentialing requirements.
- Background promoting products within specialty or complex healthcare settings.
Territory
Field-based role covering portions of Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, and surrounding markets. Candidates should reside within the territory, preferably near Omaha.
