Clinical Research Physician

A leading global clinical research organization is seeking experienced physicians to join its growing clinical development team in the UK. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of clinical trials, either as a Sub-Investigator (Sub-PI) or Principal Investigator (PI), supporting studies across a variety of therapeutic areas and phases of development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee clinical trial activities in accordance with GCP, protocol requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Perform medical assessments, physical examinations, and safety evaluations of study participants.
• Support participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, and ongoing trial management.
• Review safety information, adverse events, and clinical data throughout study conduct.
• Collaborate closely with clinical operations, sponsors, research nurses, and site staff.
• Contribute to investigator meetings, protocol training, and study-related documentation.
• Ensure high standards of participant safety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD, or equivalent) with current GMC registration.
• Previous experience working within clinical trials, either in an investigator site, CRO, pharmaceutical, or academic research setting.
• Experience acting as a Sub-Investigator, Principal Investigator, or Study Physician is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of ICH-GCP and clinical research regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Desirable Experience

• Experience across Phase I-IV clinical trials.
• Exposure to industry-sponsored studies.
• Background in therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, cardiovascular, metabolic disorders, neuroscience, or rare diseases.
