Category Manager Capital Projects Procurement

We are currently partnering with a growing international life sciences manufacturer seeking a Category Manager, Capital Projects Procurement to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities for major investment projects across Europe.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading procurement activities for capital projects, including construction services, engineering support and technical equipment
  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with project and business objectives
  • Managing tenders, supplier selection, negotiations and contract awards
  • Overseeing the end-to-end procurement process and supplier performance
  • Building strong supplier relationships and identifying new sourcing opportunities
  • Partnering with Engineering, Operations, Finance and Project teams
  • Monitoring market trends and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

An ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or a related field
  • Several years of procurement experience within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience sourcing construction services, capital equipment or technical categories
  • Strong contract negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience working with ERP systems and procurement tools
  • Fluent German and English
