Together for a fairer, healthier world.

Today, April 7th, marks World Health Day. This year´s theme calls for urgent action to eliminate health inequities around the world and mobilize action in order to attain better health for everyone and leave no one behind.

On World Health Day 2021, the World Health Organization (WHO) is calling on leaders to monitor health inequalities and address their root causes to ensure that everyone has access to the living and working conditions that are conducive to good health and to quality health services where and when they need them, and to invest in primary health care to achieve health for all by all.

At EPM Scientific, we work closely with both organizations and individuals that have a great impact in the health sector. So which key factors are actually motivating our employees to be involved in such impacts? We asked our employees why they love working in the health sector. Let´s find out their passions.

"I love working in the health industry because we play a small but very important part in ensuring that medicines get to patients in need and that gives me a sense of enormous wellbeing. Both my father and my grandmother received the COVID-19 vaccine supplied by a company we have closely supported and this really underlined the value we bring - I felt proud to have been involved" - Zach Stamp, Executive Director

"I love working in the health sector because the health and safety of every individual will always come first. Good news, we´ve noticed that most companies are actually very careful when it comes to the health and wellbeing of their staff" - Kayleigh Regan, Senior Vice President

"I love working in the health sector because of two things. Number 1, I have a science degree background and it's always really interesting to talk about the newest approaches in science like CART cell therapies, CRISPR-CAS 9 Systems or the use of quantum computers in predicting new drug interactions. Number 2, as we have unfortunately found out during this crisis, not all business respond the same to crises and we are lucky enough to work in an industry that is fairly resistant to crises and financial bubbles – it's not what attracts me to this field but I’m grateful to have this security" - Charles Spence, Vice President

"I love working in the health sector because of the exposure I get to such incredible technologies. Everyday I get the chance to speak to candidates or clients who are passionate about the work they do, being at the forefront of ground-breaking projects like the COVID-19 vaccine or 3-D printed human implants" - Jamie Remp, Director
